Samsung Galaxy S2: Android 4.2.2 update postponed to the next year?

The Korean company Samsung had communicated known some time ago that the Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will also appear for the now getting on in years Galaxy S2(Cover Case). The rollout of the Android 4.2.2 update, however, should themselves be drawn into next year.

In addition, a Samsung executive staff said that the update support for the Samsung Galaxy S2(Galaxy S I9000 Cases) will end after this release. In terms of the expected release date from Samsung announced so far no official statement, but some industry insiders suspect that the publication could possibly move up to the next year.

Colleagues of the famous news portal SamMobile were leaked anonymous insider information recently by his own admission, according to which the release of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S2 is likely to move to several months. Thus, this is not, or even expected to roll out the new firmware before the end until the beginning of next year. The reason for this delay are problems with porting.
Since the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean was optimized for the new Samsung Galaxy S4(Galaxy Note2 Screen protector), have now begun obviously some problems in adjusting for other smartphones. Here the sources are of SamMobile particular difficulties in porting TouchWiz user interface. This is also optimized for the technical specifications of the Galaxy S4, so that it does not work correctly on other devices. A similar problem also occurs currently in the adaptation of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 for the Galaxy S3.
For the Galaxy S3 Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 should already known to appear in June, but according to the experts at SamMobile the rollout will most likely be delayed by several weeks. Currently, the colleagues believe that one should not expect before August this year with a release. As previously available from Samsung itself no official information on the subject, currently only remains to be seen when it will get there in the porting problems under control.
